What to expect during Gentle At-Home Euthanasia

1. Unrushed Discussion
The gentle euthanasia process will be clearly explained and your questions will be answered. When your Vet arrives, attending to your pet’s welfare takes immediate priority.

2. Pre-Sedation - Drifting into Calm Sleep
Our Caring Home Visit Vet will come to your home at a time convenient to you. When you are ready, your Vet will administer a gentle sedative in such a way that your pet will barely notice. This is not a painful or distressing process, your pet simply drifts into a peaceful sleep.

3. Pass Away Gently and Peacefully
The next stage of the tried and tested process involves giving your pet an anaesthetic agent that causes their heart to slow and then gently stop. They pass away peacefully. This process is very gentle, humane and generally a calmer and more tranquil one than can be delivered at a clinic.

4. Aftercare
It is entirely your decision what happens next. If you know that you want a cremation you can arrange this with our Care Coordinators. However you can also discuss this with your Vet whilst they are at your home and they can help you make all the arrangements.

Testimonials

They made a terrible time more bearable, the whole process was managed well, and it was a calm and peaceful process.
I would recommend Louisa and the team.

neil was also excellent in the way he moved max with such care and respect.I would have no hesitation recommending cloud 9 and will 100% use them in the future.thank you once again from the bottom of my heart x

I rang Cloud 9 on a Sunday and spoke to Ellie. Ellie’s understanding of the situation and kindness made the awful conversation bearable. Ellie rang back and we were assigned a vet named Robert. Robert visited our home the next evening. From the call to let us know he was outside to the following (nearly an) hour, his compassion was constant. Everything was explained and delivered with empathy. Millie’s passing, on my lap, was calm and dignified. It was lovely to see the pain lift from her face, even through my tears. My husband commented on Robert’s skills also in distraction. I honestly couldn’t have found a more professional and kinder vet.
Thank you all so much. It’s such a horrible time as a pet owner, and the Cloud 9 team made the experience so much more manageable for Millie and us. I will not hesitate in recommending this service to my friends.

A huge load was taken off me to enable Rusco to pass peacefully at home with the other cats (her daughters) and the kindness we both received meant so much in what was a heartbreaking situation.
Thank you ❤️

My husband said the lady on the other end of the phone was lovely and understanding, we got a call back quickly and had a day and time confirmed, the vet Robert was so softly spoken, patient, kind and caring he talked us through everything so all was clear and he did not rush us or the children in saying goodbye, he made sure we had all arrangements in place that we needed before he quietly see himself out and left us,
We had the arrangements made for us with phoenix pet cremations the gentleman who turned up could not be faulted in any way he was so gentle and respectful and again we were not rushed and we’re given all the time we needed.
The whole experience was so calm it made things for us just that little bit easier..
thank you

My Nanas lovely Alfie was treated with absolute gentleness and empathy by Vet Ane who explained everything to us.
It was a surreal quick passing in a calm environment, Neil from the crematorium showed so much respect and was lovely, Alfie looked peaceful laying in a bed with his favourite toys and was carried away so lovely with so much dignity and care thankyou
Best decision choosing Cloud9 to help us say goodnight to Alfie 🩷

I would highly recommend both services if and when needed.
My special man Bailey
Thank you

It was a gentle, painless, stress-free death for our beloved Burmese, Otto, in his own place with his people loving him.
We've since received sympathy cards from both Cloud 9 and the pet crematorium. A caring touch.
I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The lovely vet Amelia was so professional reassuring and showed empathy .
Can’t thank you enough!!!
You made the hardest decision the right decision.
Tessa was at home with her family that loved her so much 💔

Thank you.

Thank you all so so much Xxx

We contacted cloud 9
he hated the vets and we didn’t want his last memory to the there
Martha came to our home to help Kenzo over rainbow bridge.
She explained every step to us and was so wonderful with Kenzo and all of us
She made what was absolutely heartbreaking a little easier.
It’s the last thing you can do for your best friend.
We couldn’t recommend cloud 9 enough.

On the day, the vet was so lovely to both us and Boo. Boo died peacefully in my arms at home and it was as lovely as it could be . The vet was very professional and compassionate.

They recommended Cloud 9 Vets.
I can't thank cloud 9 enough.
My boy passed over in my arms at home so peacefully.
Forever in my heart Riley boy. 💙🐾

My husband called at 6pm asking if it was too late to book Sadie in the following day, the lady he spoke to on the phone could hear how distressed Sadie was in the background and did everything she could to get a vet out to her that night.
We got a call back no longer than 15 mins later, a vet was able to get to us for 8.30pm that same evening. The vet that came out (I think his name was John, sorry if I’m mistaken, it was all a bit of a blur emotionally) was so good. He explained everything to us, chatted to us to calm us which on reflection made things much easier for Sadie because she very easily picked up on our emotions. He was so caring and compassionate towards Sadie we felt completely at ease.
We opted for a scatter tube and personal cremation for Sadie, and she was brought back home to us yesterday (Thursday) after being put to sleep on Tuesday evening.
Such an awful decision for any pet owner to make, but unfortunately sometimes we must. Cloud 9 made this experience much more bearable.

Last Sunday I had to say goodby to my best friend of 20 years Tigsie (Tiger). My vet was unable to attend and I had concerns about trusting this important time to people I didn't know. I'm so glad I made the leap of faith.
Handled gently and kindly on the phone the arrangements were made. John arrived, spot on time and made one of the worst days of my life as gentle and peaceful as it could possibly have been. John was sensative and caring, there was no rushing and he waited for Tigsie and I to be ready together. Tiger passed away in my arms, in front of the fire, in our home.
I cannot thank John & the lovely lady on the phone enough. God bless you all for the caring service you provide.
Cindy & Tiger. x🐾

From making the decision to let Poppy go, Lara gave me the information I needed and subsequently made the booking via text message as I couldn’t talk without crying. The only phone conversation was to pay, and she was kind and empathic as I cried through it.
Jack the vet was so calm and kind. He came exactly on time (important when you are clock watching). He explained what would happen but did it in our time with kindness and compassion. Poppy left us calmly, gently and peacefully. He then left us to have some time before the crematorium came to collect her.
The process from start to finish was brilliant, even if my heart was broken. Thank you 💔

On 1st April a lovely vet Audra came to visit us, she was lovely and so kind and explained everything that was going to happen. Twinkle slept in her comfy bed with her blankets, and us all touching her, telling her how much we love her and we said good bye. It was very sad but so very beautiful too. There was no stress just quiet, peace & calm, which was exactly what we wanted for her and what she deserved. Audra brought her own lovely bed to put Twinkle in, with Twinkles blankets, and she took her to Divinity Pet Crematorium for us. I brought Twinkle home yesterday and she now has a beautiful sunny place on our windowsill above where she used to love to sleep 💕
We cannot recommend Cloud 9 Vets enough, they were amazing and have made everything as easy as it possibly could be in this sad time, and thank you so much Elsa and Audra for all your kindness and caring

We suddenly had to help our lovely old cat, Darwin, over the rainbow bridge on Saturday and we didn’t want to take him to the vets which he would have found very stressful.
Despite it being Easter weekend, we found @Cloud9 Vets (covering many areas) who arranged for a Vet to come the same day and they found @Scrappy’s Pet Crematorium (based in Benton) who arranged collection and cremation the next morning. Scrappy’s is named after their own family dog. I cannot recommend either of these services highly enough - they were both so kind and compassionate and treated the whole process with dignity and respect. The way they helped Darwin made a very sad process more bearable knowing that they had his best interests at heart.

Don't hesitate to use this company....kind, compassionate & gave our girl the most dignified passing in the home she loved, surrounded by her family .

We want to say thank you so much for all your help and support with my Gran’s dog, Ruby on Sunday 26th March.
We were really impressed with the care, sensitivity and efficiency you provided for us, in a time when we needed it most.
Sam, the vet who saw us was brilliant, he was so calm, patient and kind. He took the time to explain everything step by step, which gave us a lot of comfort during a very emotional time.
The fact we could have a home, gentle euthanasia for our beloved family dog, meant the world, and also meant we got to say goodbye in the comfort of her own home, meaning minimal stress for her. It was a very calm and peaceful way for her to go, you couldn’t ask for more in that kind of situation.
We will share our experience and recommend your company, if anyone should ever need your service in the future.

my labrador died peacefully at home, in his own bed, with myself self and my partner at his side.
he ate his favourite salmon bites, had lots of kisses. my partner and I shared memories of his puppy years.
Freddie was so kind, he ensured we understood the process and gave us lots of opportunity to say our goodbyes.
thank you Freddie- we appreciated your kindness.

Kind
Caring
Professional
Can’t recommend enough if anyone is losing their animal and want to make them comfortable at home this place is incredible ❤️

He was kind, caring and very gentle, we wasn't rushed at all and everything was explained, it was so lovely having the whole family indoors with Bonnie as we said our goodbyes, I would certainly recommend Cloud 9 to come out to you in the comfort of your pets home.
Thank you for making Bonnie's final Al journey a comfortable one and for arranging everything for us.

Thank you so much for the service and support. 💗

The receptionist was caring and understanding when speaking with her, the communication was clear and quick along with compassionate.
Modou our vet arrived promptly informing us he was here via phone so we could let him in when we were ready, a lovely thought to begin with. He was softly spoken and spoke from the heart with empathy and love, the way he spoke to Willow was just beautiful, we couldn't have asked for a nicer, calmer, understanding vet.
Modou explained everything step by step, we were with Willow every step of the way, it was calm and as perfect as it could be in the hardest of situations.
The horrible talk of cost, in my opinion the cost was acceptable, if I had gone to a vet I would not have had such a perfect send off, although I'm not sure of the cost elsewhere, cloud 9 were definitely affordable for what we chose.
All in all our 14 year old fell asleep with us by her side in her own home, it was calm, peaceful and beautiful, forever in our hearts, Willow Fern ❤️

The hole in our hearts have been filled with his paw prints and he will never be forgotten. Thank you so much Henry, Vicki and Cloud 9 for being there for us.

We had Filipe come today to put our beautiful Sandy to sleep. I didn't personally see him as I was outside with the other dogs but my Mum was nothing but happy with the way he treated them both.
The idea of having to take a poorly dog off to the vets to be put to sleep is one we'd rather avoid at all costs. To have this service available to us is a huge weight lifted.
Thank you, we have a lot of animals so will no doubt be in touch in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Alan and Denise.

She reassured us that in her experience, this was absolutely the correct decision to be making. She spent time to fuss sacha before actually going ahead which meant the world to us.
I will always remember her saying goodbye to us in the hallway after she had assisted sacha to the rainbow bridge - and I saw the smallest tear in her eye. Knowing that she felt so strongly about her work and sacha wasn’t just “another dog to put to sleep” is the reason I am so glad we made the decision to have a at home euthanasia, and extremely happy with the vet that assisted us. Thank you.

marley really was the best in every way possible,my heart is forever broken.
Thank you cloud 9 vets you really are amazing the vet was absolutely lovely caring and compassionate.

Thank you so very much cloud 9 x

Phoenix Cremation were also marvellous and Alfie was treated with care and respect by the gentleman who came.
We will be sure to highly recommend you to anyone in the same sad position.

Cloud9 were helpful and respectful throughout the whole situation

From the initial contact phone call to Elsa , the visit from the lovely vet Charis , who ensured that Alfie had a good death , and for me having my beloved dog die in my arms as he was euthanised was so lovely .
The care and compassion given by Alex from the undertakers was so helpful knowing they would take care of my beloved dog .
Cloud 9 vets is a wonderful service who genuinely cares for the pets and the owners

Debbie answered our call at the saddest time and made everything so much easier. We also couldn't have asked for a better vet than Henry - he was so kind and caring towards our 17 Year old Parson Russell Terrier, Eddie, answering all our questions and dispelling our worries. Eddie passed away peacefully whilst enjoying a cuddle in my arms with my husband and daughter present at our home.
We would like to say a massive thank you to Debbie and Henry at Cloud 9 Vets for making what was a very sad night into a peaceful final experience for Eddie.

The Vet, Sarah, was lovely and let us take our time until we were ready to let Milly go. We had asked that Milly be individually cremated and Sarah brought a pet bed in from her car while we said our final goodbyes and then I placed Milly gently in the bed before Sarah took her away. We have had Milly's ashes returned to us today from Leyland Pet Crematorium.
The Service provided by Cloud 9 is excellent and helps make a very stressful and upsetting time a little easier.
I would definitely recommend them.

gelina the vet was fantastic and talked us through everything, our old girl Nelly passed away so very peacefully,😓 with love and dignity in her own bed in her own home with us with her
Always a sad time when it's time for goodbye, but she went so beautifully over the rainbow bridge🌈

I shall miss her greatly, may she be at peace now.

We chose Cloud 9 so Wallace would be able to pass in surroundings that he was familiar with and felt safe in.
The vet ( Charis ) was absolutely amazing. Not only professional but extremely caring and respectful with our little boy. She explained everything and answered all our questions and we were given all the time we needed to say goodbye. He passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved and adored him.
Losing a pet is heart-wrenching but Charis made the process easier. I would definitely recommend Cloud 9 if you find yourself in this unfortunate position.
Thank you Charis x

She was so friendly and explained every step.
I highly recommend this to all my friends

Zoi was so lovely, she made us feel so relaxed & at ease. She talked us through the process & answered any of our questions. She was so gentle & kind throughout the whole time with us.
I could not recommend this service anymore for anyone who is faced with a similar difficult & heartbreaking decision of saying goodbye to their beloved furry friend 💙🐾✨

Lovely caring, compassionate vet, kind and sympathetic cremation, beautifully packaged remains, paw print and clay paw imprint, made the whole process as lovely as it could be at this heartbreaking time.

The vet Charis came to our home and the whole experience was so dignified. Our little dog is no longer in pain and is in a happier place.
I cannot thank you enough for this service. The compassion and love given to our little girl was special.
Thank you Charis

From the first point of contact on the telephone with Kate - who was so understanding and consoling. She arranged everything so smoothly and efficiently;
to the wonderful vet, Damian, who was so calm and reassuring. He explained what to expect and interactively took us through every stage. He treated our darling boy with care and respect. It was so lovely to be able to have all the family, animals and humans, with our gorgeous Henry when he departed. Cloud9 then sent us a sympathy card a few days later - so thoughtful.
Thank you Cloud 9 for making this possible when our own vets could not come out.

Forever thankful
Harry’s mum& dad xx

Our vets (and most vets) are no longer carrying out house calls to put animals to sleep, and as we wished to avoid the clinical atmosphere of the vets surgery and to give Tess the reassurance, peace and dignity of her own home, we contacted Cloud 9.
Jack, the attending vet, visited our home at 6.30pm on 20/1/22, and from the moment he arrived, we felt reassured that we had made the right decision, difficult as it was.
Jack was so unrushed, compassionate and patient, giving us all (our daughter and one of our granddaughters were also here) the time for our questions to be answered and to come to terms with what was about to occur.
The actual procedure of sending Tess on her way was the most gentle we have ever witnessed (and we have had to have several animals out to sleep during our lives), she had the reassurance of us all touching and stroking her, and the comfort of her own bed - a beautiful death, if any death can be described that way.
The young lady from the cremation Company arrived about an hour after Jack had left, and she (Melissa) was also patient, compassionate, and treated Tess’s body as if she was still alive, wrapping her in a lovely, soft blanket along with her favourite toy fox.
We would definitely recommend Cloud 9 to any pet owners who want to give their four-legged companions the best send-off possible - we (and Tess) experienced a five star service from them.

Absolutely wonderful service, treated the whole family with kindness and understanding.
Max (Westie) was nearly 15 years old and loved by the family and extended family, his presence will be missed, using Cloud 9 meant we could all be with him and show him the love and respect he deserved.
No added stress of having to leave the family home to go to an unknown environment to Max was a blessing.
Thank You.

I am so grateful that this service is available.
As a family our last wish for our beloved fur baby of 15 years Bella was for her to pass away at home surrounded by everyone who loved her.
The whole experience from the first phone call to to the vet who attended yesterday was truly amazing they all made what was a difficult time more bearable.
A massive thank you to Ane the vet who talked us through and explained everything, she was so compassionate. After our final goodbyes and cuddles Bella peacefully passed away in her own bed surrounded by all who loved her including my 3 children.
we are all heartbroken 💔 but take comfort in knowing Bella was at home surrounded by her family. Bella was later laid to rest in her favourite spot in our garden it was the most beautiful send off for our gorgeous girl RIP Bella ❤

Cloud 9 Vets and the service your team provided me at such a painful time was outstanding. I can’t thank you enough for your support.
If you are unsure as a pet guardian where or how to make that final step, I can’t recommend Cloud 9 vets more highly. More people need to know about this small team of genuinely compassionate people.
Thank you Cloud 9 team, Caris our home vet, and ICare Pet Crem and Alex.
Xx

Thanks You for your service and being so understanding and Thank you for the sympathy card.

The Vet Charis, was wonderful and understood what we were going through, she was very professional, calm and put us at ease. The decision to take this route was the best decision we made for our Boy.
The Wallace Family

she didn't rush us to say goodbye and was so understanding.
The service from Cloud 9 vets was just want we needed, they sorted everything out and ensured we didn't have to make the big decisions alone. Thank you.

Big thanks for your kindness on the telephone to my mum and most of all, to the vet (Charis) who provided a wonderfully empathetic and professional service.
Thank you ❤️

had beautiful last moments before we sent our girl off to a better place.
sorry I didn't get the lovely ladies name that did the procedure my head was elsewhere as expected.
highly recommend and will not forget the service you provided.
Thanks again.

We found it so difficult making the decision to euthanize, Loobie had been suffering from Degenerative Mylopathy and deteriorated quite quickly over the past 2 weeks she was only 9 and should have had many years left with us but it was not to be.
She found vet visits stressful so we really wanted her to be at peace and feel safe in her final moments, cloud 9 allowed that to happen she went very peacefully on the sofa in her favourite spot with the dignity she deserved next to me and my husband. With our adult children and her companion Alfie also present.
We are very thankful for the team at Cloud 9 Vets for their faultless service. Vicky on the reception who arranged the visit was so helpful and understanding.
Andrea visited our home and was very gentle, calming, empathetic and kind to us all especially Loobie. He explained the process and allowed us to take the time we needed to say goodbye without feeling rushed. A special thank you to Andrea x
Thank you everyone, with out Cloud 9 the whole experience would have been traumatic for loobie and us instead we had a very positive experience although devastating and emotional and Loobie crossed that bridge knowing we were all with her 💔🌈🐾

Making the decision to euthanize Hope had been an excruciatingly painful process for me and my family. She found car journeys and vet visits stressful so we really wanted her to be at peace and feel safe in her final moments.
We are very thankful for the team at Cloud 9 Vets faultless service. Charis visited our home and was very patient, empathetic and kind to us all. She explained the process and allowed us to take the time we needed to say goodbye without feeling rushed.
We decided on an individual cremation and have her ashes returned to us in a casket. Elizabeth at iCare Pet Crem was lovely and made us feel at ease leaving our girl in her care. She returned Hope to us in a beautiful casket on 03.10.21. We also received x2 paw prints (additional cost but absolutely worth it), the casket was engraved with hopes name (a beautiful touch) and we also received some hair clippings in the bag she returned to us (a lovely surprise).
Thank you everyone for making it a stress free (as stress free as possible) experience during a very difficult time and for allowing our girl to end her 15 years with only positive memories ❤🌈

Speaking to Elsa who arranged an appointment for our requested day with compassion.
Nacho arrived & attended to our beloved Greyhound Sky 💙, sending him to a warm relaxing place before releasing him over the Rainbow Bridge 🌈 in the comfort of his own home.
Thank you to Nacho & Cloud 9 for supporting us at a heart wrenching time 💔.
A service that we will definitely use again.

Thank you cloud 9

xxx

Vet visits were always stressful for her, so being here was very important to us.
We couldn’t fault the way Faye looked after Ruby and us in what is the worst part of owning a dog.
Also very impressed with the service from the pet crematorium, who delivered Ruby’s ashes back to us in 5 days.
Would highly recommend.

Jennifer and Laura (or Lauren!) that I spoke to were lovely, reassuring me that everything would be OK.
Roshni, our allocated vet, was amazing.
We cannot thank her enough for making Remi's journey peaceful.
Thankyou for making a very difficult decision so much easier.
Our boy passed away under his table in the garden peacefully on the evening of 19th August 2021.
Sleep well and play hard Remi the Remster!

Charis is the amazing vet who made everything for Stan and the family peaceful and was happy to listen to stories about our boy. I could not have wished for a better send off for Stan, nothing was a problem for Charis and I will be eternally grateful for her help.

Cloud 9 … you were amazing … organised everything and even went above and beyond with it being a Sunday !
Henry ( the vet) was wonderful , he explained everything, gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye and treated Alfie with the respect he deserved.
Henry , Cloud 9 and Kings Hill Pet Crematorium you made a truly sad event bearable and for that we will always be grateful. 🐶🐾
I have no hesitation in recommending the service to anyone who loves their pet xxx

I just wanted to write this to show our appreciation and to thank you. X

We will be eternally grateful
Kind regards
The McGroarty family

We had Faye come to our house and she was wonderful with us and Mia. She made what was a heartbreaking time for us all, kind caring and stress free for Mia, we can’t thank her enough and I would highly recommend Cloud 9 vets when sadly the time comes to say goodbye to your special furry friend.

Made a challenging , hard , sad time the best it could be . Will be forever thankful for the help and organisation we had with saying goodbye to our 17 year old dog 🐾

We wanted him to be in his home surrounded by the people who loved him.
The vet Rachel, who attended, was full of empathy, whilst remaining professional. She explained the process to us, and we weren’t rushed to say our goodbyes. It was such a peaceful end and we cannot thank you enough for your personal service.

We booked cloud 9 and it was all very easy to do
The vet came and gently explained how the next hour would go, so we laid Taya down and I put soft music on for her.
Everything went so smoothly, she fell asleep in my arms, I had all the time in the world to let her go off softly with no fear.
Then she was placed gently in a bed and I tucked her in, taken out to the car where I gave her her last kiss and off she went
My son was able to give her a goodbye kiss too
I feel it gave us closure and gave Taya a dignified death in her own surroundings held by someone who loved her I couldn’t have asked for more
Thank you

She was my best friend, my companion, my world.
It was the most difficult decision I had to make.
I would like to say thank you to Andrea who was so compassionate and treated our Lulu with upmost respect till the end. Thank you to Cloud 9 team for being so understanding and supportive.

The experience has made her passing more acceptable to us..... Thank you

From the initial call to make arrangements they were compassionate, kind, informative and extremely helpful.
They were originally going to ask Samuel to come to us, but we mentioned that Tyler did not like males (he was a typical nervous protective German Shepherd cross) and we would prefer a female they tried all they could to arrange this but unfortunately no females were available.
Samuel kindly attended at 4:45pm, and right from the start his compassion, thoughtfulness and kindness shone through. He briefed us in the garden on what was going to happen and never rushed us or Tyler at all, constantly reassuring us that if we had any questions we just needed to ask. At each stage of the process he kept us fully informed, allowing us time to say our goodbyes in as much time as we needed. Samuel had a lovely soft and gentle nature and his presence was reassuring throughout the entire process.
We really couldn't have asked for a more peaceful send off for our beloved boy, who was brave in his fight against his cancer right until the very final day.
We would highly recommend Cloud 9 Vets and in particular Samuel to anyone who unfortunately finds themselves in the same sad situation.

thank you for helping Mollie on her final journey x😓💜

Cloud 9 allowed my beautiful girl to be put to rest whilst she was sound asleep, snuggled in my arms, in our home and I will be forever grateful for that.
Samuel, the vet, was kind and caring. He explained everything that would happen, gave us time with our girl and then re-explained everything as it happened. Samuel is a real credit to Cloud 9 ⭐️ Thank you for such a professional and compassionate service.

I would not hesitate to recommend Cloud 9 Vets if you are facing the heartbreaking decision as I did to say goodbye to your beloved pet.
I was so relieved to be with my 16yr old cat Charlie in the safety and comfort of our home, and not have to go through the stress of a car journey to the vets, and more especially during the Covid restrictions.
Nacho was so caring and compassionate. He explained everything in an unhurried way. He gave my boy the dignity and love he deserved. He was on his bed and our final goodbye was so special. Thank you Cloud 9 Vets for your organisation. Thank you so much Nacho, I’ll never forget your kindness. A kiss from Charlie to you x

I would wholeheartedly recommend this service to anyone facing the difficult decision of helping a much loved pet on their journey.
Thank you

As Pongo had Suddenly deteriorated on Monday 1st March i telephone cloud 9 vets which I wasn’t even sure I would be able to talk about however immediately after speaking with Vicky she made me feel at ease, she explained everything & told us who the local pet cremation company were which she also spoke to these to make sure they could come afterwards, we arranged a time etc. To be honest after the phone call I couldn’t stop thinking about that day approaching but we left it for 3 days so we could spend more time with them but when that day came Pongo was terrible on his legs.
Friday 5th March had arrived & Sandy the vet arrived, he was lovely, came in to see them both lying on there favourite place in the house- the sofa, no one could ever get a seat in our house, he talked to them, he was so compassionate & understanding, he explained what was going to happen, he gave them there first injection where they would go to sleep & at this point was the best time to say our goodbyes, it was heartbreaking, they were both licking our faces, we could not stop crying but know it was the best thing to let them go together as they both had there problems & one would never be the same without the other one, after spending about 10 mins they peacefully went to sleep & looked at peace & without pain, Sandy then administered the final injections, I honestly thought at that point I was going to be sick. Sandy left after this & we got to spend another half hour with them just looking at them, cuddling them until the cremation company arrived.
I cannot recommend cloud 9 vets enough for arranging a vet to come to our home to make this stress free for our lovely pets, they are professional from start to finish, it was the best thing we could have done for them & deserved a peaceful farewell, we will never forget them & still heartbroken 😢😢 but so glad we found cloud 9 vets as our own vets would not come to our house.
Please can you pass this onto Sandy as we were in such a state that we would like to thank him personally for all his kindness ❤️

Samuel, the vet assigned to the euthanasia was wonderfully kind and gentle in his actions and words at this sad time of having my 18yr old cat Worzel euthanized 9/3/21 - it was a very peaceful passing, I couldnt have asked for more compassion from them.
It was wonderful to find these vets in these corona times, who were willing to come to my home, when sadly, most vets will not.
Highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟

Sam came to our home, talked us through everything and Max died peacefully in my arms. He was totally chilled, in familiar surroundings, with those who loved him.
We will he eternally grateful to cloud nine for offering this service and to Sam for coming into our home (despite the pandemic) and helping make a very difficult day less difficult.

She is now buried in our garden, we and even had a rainbow appear over the garden for her.

calming efficiency got us sorted when we were at our lowest and got us through a tough and hard time

If you need to say goodbye to a cherished pet at home, please look no further, this was the best decision we could have made.

Would highly recommended to anyone in the same situation, made everyone feel at ease and explained everything, just amazing people

We had our sick 10 year old German Shepherd put to sleep Wednesday 16.12.20.
The Cloud 9 vet was very professional, caring and understanding of our grief.
We spent time with Kody as the procedure was done and after he fell asleep.
Thank you Cloud 9 for your loving help, and to help us with our grief.
John Mc Donald
Wishaw.

He explained everything and we decided the garden was a peaceful place to do it as Mojo loved his garden!!!
We were not rushed, time and care was taken and he went peacefully under his favourite tree.
Andrea took time and care with him wrapping him in the biggest fluffy blanket to take him to the crematorium.
The after care aswell is second to none, a little card arrived a few days later which is next to him under the tv.
If I could advise anyone in this position Cloud 9 are amazing!!!!

When I had made the decision to have your service at home, it made things much easier.
Thank you to Andreas who showed great compassion and dignity when dealing with us and my beautiful cat.
I'm really really grateful for your service

We knew that if he quickly made a turn for the worse and we had to take him to his ordinary vet (which makes him anxious even on a good day), we would not be able to go in with him (due to Covid-19) and he would be all alone during his final moments. This is when we found and got in touch with Cloud 9 Vets. Making the call was itself daunting, however Amber at Cloud 9 put us at ease. She was comforting and empathetic, and was able to answer all our questions, big and small. She booked a local vet, Punit, to come around the following day at a time which suited us best. We also booked an individual cremation.
The morning of was difficult as we knew it was out final few hours with our baby, and we were anxious about the whole procedure, despite how much Amber has alleviated our worries. We pampered him, offered him all his favourite treats (he unfortunately wasnt interested in eating by this point) and got him tucked up all comfy with his favourite blankies. We all sat around him and said our goodbyes.
Punit turned up exactly on time, introduced himself and explained what he would be doing step by step. Once we were ready he very calmly administered the sedative. Being a large dog, it took a while to kick in. We all sat around and shared happy stories about his long life with us until he was peacefully asleep. Punit did not rush us in any way, gave us space and encouraged us to take as much time as we need with him before he administered the second injection. We all said our final goodbyes, gave him lots of kisses and prayed as a family for him to rest in peace. He passed so peacefully, just like he had drifted into a deep sleep. No twinges, no sounds, nothing scary. We cried and let out our feelings only after he had passed, ensuring his final memories were of normality; his family sitting around him giving him love.
The crematorium came around 20 minutes later to collect his body. We were able to follow our religious tradition which requires certain items to be cremated with the body. The undertaker was very understanding of our wishes and ensured things were done just as we asked. His ashes were returned to us 4 days later as promised.
Although this has been a heartbreaking time for us, we felt a surprising sense or relief and comfort in knowing that we gave our darling dog the most compassionate and peaceful send off, in the comfort of his own home. Overall the entire experience with Cloud 9 Vets was faultless and made such a difficult time of our lives more bearable. In hindsight, we feel like we made the right decision for our dog, at the right time.
We would highly recommend the service to anyone facing the unthinkable decision to put their beloved pet to sleep. It is the most heart-wrenching kindness we can offer, for their lifetime of love and loyalty.
We would like to offer our upmost gratitude to Punit for being incredibly compassionate in performing the service. We are so thankful you were sent to us at our time of need.

Thank you once again Elaine Mcdonald

The service we received from the cloud 9 vet who attended our home was amazing at what was an extremely emotional and distressing time. The care and compassion towards our dog, it was as if it was his own, exactly what was needed and this compassion extended to our family which my mum was extremely grateful for. Especially during the strange times of COVID-19.
It was more appreciated as our regular vets had refused to come out for home visit, even after we had explained that the dog hated cars, he couldn’t at that time stand up and was crying all this was explained but still they wouldn’t attend after advertising 24/7 care with home visits.
My mum as deeply upset at the thought we would have to man handle our dog into a car and cause him further uncomfort/ and or distress.
It was a great relief to all when cloud 9 said you were able to attend the house without issue and we were most grateful and the vet had to travel some distance to get to us.
It was just what my mum needed and wanted everyone was able to say goodbye and she got to be with her fur- best friend til the end.
Once again a huge thank you to vet, Nacho

Her tail did not stop wagging for a fuss right to the very end, (or for pepperami!) which was as perfect an end as I could have hoped for, at home, relaxed and happy to have me by her side as always. ❤️
A massive thank you goes out to Sophie of Cloud9Vets, for still offering a compassionate and peaceful euthanasia at home in these difficult times, this was early June and my heart was breaking considering the only options available our local vets.
Sophie’s empathy and strength made the whole experience easier to deal with and kept me strong and staying positive for Copper’s last moments.
I know you are resting in peace now my darling, you are forever a part of my heart.

On Sunday 21st June we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our beautiful German Shepard Cheavus to sleep. At nearly 14 years old we had suspected DM and the final stages came on quite suddenly. During the pandemic we didn’t think our wish for her (when the time came) to have our beautiful girl put to sleep at home would be possible but we found you. You truly are angels in disguise. In such a difficult time, Your empathy on the phone speaking to you through broken tears, even though you didn’t know us, we felt supported.
The lady who answered our cell provided a caring calm voice (I’m so sorry I can’t remember your name) and the selfless vet (Andrea if we remember correctly) went above and beyond to work an extra long day, to be with Cheavus and my partner and doing what was needed so Cheavus was no longer sad and unable to walk. In the home she knew, laying on the bed she loved…she passed away peacefully and the final memory of her going to sleep, my partner explained, was gentle as described…and we wholeheartedly thank them all.
The decision to euthanise is not one any human makes easily for their furry friend but to know there is a service out there where empathy and compassion is at every step, is truly heartwarming.
It’s not an easy thing they do and must be difficult for them all daily, but knowing they are helping animals and their owners in their time of need, I do hope brings them comfort.
I apologise for the long message but we want you to know that the passing of Cheavus has been made that little bit easier thanks to cloud 9 and their amazing people and vet.

Last week i had to make the hard decision to help my Shih Tzu Milo pass over the rainbow bridge. Due to the current Covid situation our own vets disappointingly were unable to assist with this and there was no way that i was going to hand Milo over to die alone away from those he loved, as they would not allow us in the surgery to be with him either. Thats when i called Cloud 9 for help, they were very understanding and sent James to perform the procedure which was done professionally and with dignity. Milo passed in my arms peacefully and James was so very caring and supportive. Thankyou so very much James for enabling me to give Milo a loving and dignified passing.
Milo was cremated and his ashes are now back home with us where he belongs, RIP my sweet beautiful boy xxx

From the 1st phone to call to the day when the vet came they where so kind and compassionate, they all made such a hard situation just that bit easier with there kind words and thoughtfulness, we felt under no pressure or rush to say goodbye to our beloved boy.
I would have no trouble highly recommending cloud 9 and would definitely use again when the time comes for my other pets
Miss Bourne

cannot fault in any way
will recommend at any chance i get.
i have not seen an easier passing, so much less stress

I called on Saturday afternoon and was so glad that Cloud 9 arranged everything so quickly especially as it is difficult organising things at weekends. They worked hard in the background arranging for the vet to visit at 10am on Sunday to put Erin to sleep and for the crematorium representative to arrive at 11am to take her away to be cremated.
All in all, this meant that Erin had as dignified and comfortable a passing as could be hoped for and we are so grateful to Cloud 9 Vets for arranging everything for us, leaving us free to grieve.
Everyone involved was so kind and sympathetic and I would not hesitate to recommend Cloud 9 Vets to anyone in a similar situation with their beloved pet.

Andreas who attended Belle was so caring and explained everything step by step. He gave us as much time as we needed with her in her final moments. He stepped back everytime with the current situation so we could be with her. Cannot thank him and Cloud 9 Vets enough for making this heartbreaking day go a little easier. I would also highly recommend for nervous dogs. My Belle was terrified of her own vets and the thought of having to take her there to be put to sleep and her be stressed in her final moments was too much for me to bear. Thank you so much.

When we got home, I looked up the website and I was so disappointed that we were out with their travel area, but I called them anyway. And I am so glad I did. It was such a relief to hear reassuring words that they were sure the vet would travel the extra miles. Within half an hour the confirmation came that they could help me. The relief that gave me allowed me to spend one last day with my girl without worry.
Even with Lockdown rules, my beautiful girl just slept away and I was so grateful for that and it gave me such peace and that cannot be bought! Charis’s gentle approach and good energy was such a blessing, a true empath to both animals and their humans. My heartfelt thanks to All at Cloud9 for the amazing work you do.

Thank you so much

Maddie passed away at home, peacefully, with her family around her. Shanice the vet was wonderful and caring and said she would stay for as long as she was needed.
I'm just so thankful that this service is available to help pets pass with dignity in their own home.
Thank you for giving Maddie the dignified peaceful passing she deserved. ❤️❤️

Cannot recommend enough .

We called in cloud 9 vets who provide a home service nationwide, this gave Feezil the dignity he deserved after being our loving friend for eighteen and a half years. The young man that came was amazing, very professional, compassionate, and he explained everything in great detail and how Feezil may react, he didn't rush and stayed for nearly half an hour until Feezil was resting.

was amazing and did everything he could for my leo .
Also comforted our family
its a big loss but paul made his last moments comfy
let us say our goodbyes as a family
also went above and beyond for us
10 out of 10
Thanks again for everything you did that day when no one else would 💚

We didn't want to rush to make the decision as we always said we wanted to do it at home. We had planned for Monday with out normal vets to come round but Toby took a turn for worse on Friday and we nearly did it then but in the evening he helped us make the sad decision to it on Saturday and not make him wait or suffer for us. We struggled to get a vet to come out as it was a weekend and we booked to go into vets which we didn't want as Toby was so scared of the vets.
Thank goodness just before the appt. a Google advert appeared for. Cloud9 Vets.
Jaqui (Jack) was absolutely amazing, she made the whole process peaceful, calm and made us feel the comfort and reassurance we needed at this sad time.
Toby died peacefully in his bed with us by him as we cuddled and kissed him a lot and helped us wrap him in his blanket and bed as we said our goodbyes.
You helped give us a dignified way to say goodbye to Toby that we always wanted and gave us the reassurance and relief that we were doing the right thing for him and that he wasn't in pain anymore and that we could start the closure on what was a painful week and decision for us.
Thank you so much for helping us with Toby, you were the best - we really won't forget it x

Our girl and us were all relaxed, everything was explained and we couldn’t have asked for more.
Thank you

put Toby at ease and told me of everything he would be doing. Toby was very relaxed and in turn
turn that made me more relaxed. He had a very peaceful and dignified passing in his own
home. I would recommend Cloud 9 Vets to anybody, the service was the best.

Alan is amazing. He put my girl away so very gentle.
I recommend you to everyone that has to do this.
You have all been Hurley amazing in such a hard time.
Can't say thank you all enough
