Gentle In-Home Euthanasia
When it is the right time to let your pet go, an in-home vet visit will help to keep your companion as calm and relaxed as possible. As animal lovers ourselves who have lost pets of our own - we know that this emotional decision can be extremely difficult to make.
But we also know that a dignified and peaceful end to your pet's life at home, will help you have happy memories of them forever. We can be with you at any time of the day or night, so when the time finally comes you can have a gentle and peaceful end to your special pet’s life without any stress or worry. A beautiful goodbye that meets all your needs as well as your pet’s at a very difficult time.
We are affiliated with only highly accredited pet crematoria around the UK and who offer respectful handling and trusted aftercare services for your beloved pet. We can either arrange everything for you or help direct you to the nearest trusted service for your pet afterwards. Both group or 100% individual options with your pet’s ashes returned in a keepsake are available depending on your wishes.
Help us value the life of your special or unique companion by sharing a special memory of them - a sweet or funny story that encapsulates their character, or perhaps a treasured photo or two.
Remember your pet for their loving companionship and devotion and let us help you create a memorial to the life they led. That way you will always have something special to remember them by.
Quality of Life Consultation
If your pet has a terminal illness or is in the final stages of life, a quality of life consultation can help you ensure that they are not suffering or in pain, have nausea, nutritional problems, or even issues with hydration or mobility. Many of these problems can be managed with palliative care, helping to make your pet more comfortable for longer. Getting a Vet to come to your home to assess or treat your pet will help you ensure that your pet is still getting a lot out of life and can be much like their old self, perhaps with a little bit of medicine and extra care. Or we can help you come to terms with situations where your pet is perhaps suffering more than you may have realised and find the best solution whether it’s medication or a planned peaceful end.
You need to be absolutely sure that when you book a vet home visit that you're going to be getting care from someone that you can count on. You can see below what some of our clients have said about the support that we have given them:
I want to thank you and everyone at Cloud 9 Vets for organising the Gentle Euthanasia for my cat Shelley and the post mortem and cremation afterwards. It removed a great deal of stress for her & for us, and she passed away quickly & peacefully in her own bed at home. Please thank the vet for driving 2 hours to our home on a Sunday to do this, and also for driving Shelley’s body the same evening to the animal hospital for the post mortem. All of you have been kind, sensitive and professional, and I am grateful for all your help.
Found these guys by chance and they came out on a Sunday evening to put our family dog to sleep. Excellent service, vet wonderfully compassionate, no anxiety, cannulation or pain, gentle drift to sleep, whole family there to see him off as he layed in my parents arms in front of the fire. They made a heart wrenching situation as good as it could be. Can't prise enough or recommend more highly
Thank you very much for the way you treated my daughter Rosa when you came to collect Floppy. It was a big day for her and the whole thing was made much easier by your attitude and understanding. Thanks again.
Talking with someone about Paco's condition without having to take him miles to the vet was really great. I can't speak highly enough of the knowledge of the person who came. I would suggest this to anyone in a similar position.
Abel's unexpected passing was difficult enough, so to do away with the worries of how to care for him afterwards was a real godsend. We called very late at night but they still sent someone - it did cost a little more because we hadn't registered but I would pay more for a service like this.
Learning to say goodbye to Socks and Mittens took a long time but I am grateful to Jeremy for the ongoing visits and care he provided. The advice and tea and chats we shared about how they'd be feeling in themselves made it easier to understand. I really can't thank him enough.
