Pet euthanasia at home in Exeter is easier for them – and for you
At Cloud 9 Vets, we love our pets. Yet that does not stop us from knowing that sometimes the kindest thing we can do for them is to say goodbye. That farewell is all the easier when it can happen in their own home, surrounded by you, the rest of their family and the sights and smells they love so well. Let us help you and them move on peacefully, with pet euthanasia at home. One of our caring Mobile Vets will visit you in person, providing a full examination before any thought of putting a dog to sleep or cat euthanasia enters the picture.
This is because we know you will want to be sure that nothing further can be done for them. Like you, we know that prolonging an ailing pet’s suffering is a poor reward for the love and affection which they have shown you all their life. But we also want to be absolutely sure that this is the only option left. Putting a cat to sleep at home and in-home dog euthanasia is always to be preferred because of the way your animal companion will be able to remain as undisturbed as possible throughout. Many of the people who we have assisted in this difficult time have even said that they do not think their pet recognised that their Vet was even in the house.
The process is entirely painless. An initial tiny injection simply puts them to sleep, followed by a larger injection after they unconscious. This means there is no distress or discomfort caused by shaving or other preparations. Please do speak to us as soon as you can tell that your pet is slipping away or when you are worried that their life has become one of pain. Although putting down a dog or cat can be an almost impossible thing to decide to do, our experienced Vets know that pet euthanasia in home, in particular, is often the final loving act you can perform for them.
